DofE Expeditions
We are an Approved Activity Provider for the expedition section of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
If you are a School or club, we can take full control of the DofE expedition section and training for your young people to achieve their DofE.
Bronze & silver level walking DofE Expeditions
Achieving Bronze & Silver DofE through Let's Get Out C.I.C
We can take complete control and responsibility for the expedition section and we push ourselves to make every moment a memorable experience for the young people doing their DofE.
We supply most equipment for the expeditions, including tents, stoves, cooking pots, gas, compasses and maps. We also have a supply of equipment such as rucksacks, sleeping bags and mats for those in need which can be loaned out free of charge, on condition of being returned in good order.
We also offer a discount code for all young people doing their DofE expedition through us, to be used on our online equipment store, which you can find on this site.
Depending on our current level of fundraising, as a Community Interest Company, we try to offer free places to those who would find an experience like this normally out of reach.
Full Duke of Edinburgh expedition costs
Full Bronze DofE expedition
£165.00pp
A full bronze DofE expedition package for schools and clubs. We offer one free place for every 10 places booked.
These bronze Duke of Edinburgh expeditions will usually be run close to home and will require drop off and pick up.
Full Silver DofE expedition
£245.00pp
A full Silver DofE expedition package for schools and clubs. We offer one free place for every 10 places booked. These Duke of Edinburgh expeditions will usually be run at areas further away from home and will require transport. We can arrange transport at an extra cost per person.
Bronze and silver Dofe open expeditions
Our Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh open expeditions
Our DofE open expeditions are available to those who may have missed the expedition section of their award with their School or club, or achieving their DofE in their own way. We offer a full training package for completing the expedition section of your bronze or silver award, or you can just book and attend your assessed expedition weekend if that is what you require. We will need evidence of your training if you are only attending the Bronze assessed expedition and for Silver you will have needed to attend a practice expedition if only attending our Silver assessed expedition.
Open DofE expeditions are a great way to team up with people you haven't met before adding to that sense of adventure, but if you are planning on doing your expedition with friends or other members of a club or School, please let us know and we will keep you in the same teams where possible if required. We are confident you will have a fantastic time achieving your DofE expedition through Let's Get Out. Bronze training and expeditions to be held in Essex. Silver training in Essex, expeditions to be held in Suffolk/Norfolk. Costs of the Expeditions are below.
Full Bronze DofE Expedition with training, practice walk and assessment weekend £165.
Bronze DofE Assessment only expedition weekend £95.
