  “I can’t recommend Let’s Get Out enough! We booked them as an AAP to lead 21 students on their practice and assessed DofE expeditions. From training to route planning, navigation and camping skills, Duncan and his team were truly experts in their field, incredibly motivating, and kind natured. They have built up our students’ confidence and ensured that the challenging demands of the DofE expeditions were met, but also really encouraged the kids to connect with one another away from their phones and home comforts. The team have a great sense of humour and were very attentive to our students’ wellbeing, it seems like a small thing- but they knew all 21 of our students’ names by the end of the first day, and maintained this highly personalised approach throughout both expeditions. 

Let’s Get Out provided high quality equipment that our students otherwise would not have had access to. This is true also with some of the beautiful natural scenery that the students got to experience.  Our assessed expedition took place in coastal Norfolk, with many of our kids often being unable to leave London, this was truly a valued opportunity. 

Duncan was a fantastic liaison and made the entire planning and booking process so easy! He was always on hand to answer all my questions and accommodate any needs of our College. He always ensured any obstacles we encountered were overcome resourcefully and patiently, ensuring our students were put first. We can take complete control and responsibility for the expedition section and we push ourselves to make every moment a memorable experience for the young people doing their DofE.

We supply most equipment for the expeditions, including tents, stoves, cooking pots, gas, compasses and maps. We also have a supply of rucksacks that can be hired. We supply PP students with much of their basic kit required free of charge.

We also offer a discount code for all young people doing their DofE expedition through us, to be used on our online equipment store, which you can find on this site.

Depending on our current level of fundraising, as a Community Interest Company, we try to offer free places to those who would find an experience like this normally out of reach.

We hold an AALA license from the Health and Safety Executive for hiking and trekking activities, and are members of the Institute for Outdoor Learning
